Safety, Crisis and Emergency Policy

Immediate support routes and MMIO’s emergency and monitoring boundaries.

Effective 6 September 2026Australian servicePlain-language policy
Important: These policies preserve rights that cannot legally be excluded. They do not make MMIO a clinical or emergency service.

If there is immediate danger

Call 000 in Australia if you or another person is in immediate danger, there is an immediate risk of serious harm, or urgent police, fire or ambulance help is needed.

MMIO is not monitored as a crisis service. A private note, unfinished session, search, inactivity pattern, support email or contact form must not be used as a way to wait for someone at MMIO to detect danger.

Australian support routes

  • Lifeline: 13 11 14 for crisis support.
  • Suicide Call Back Service: 1300 659 467.
  • Beyond Blue: 1300 22 4636.
  • 13YARN: 13 92 76 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander crisis support.
  • healthdirect: 1800 022 222 for health advice.

Service numbers, hours and eligibility can change. Use each service’s official website or call 000 where delay creates danger. Outside Australia, contact the local emergency number or a local crisis service.

When self-guided tools are not enough

Seek timely human or professional help when there is:

  • thought or intent to harm yourself or another person;
  • a suicide plan, access to means or escalating hopelessness;
  • psychosis, mania, severe confusion, intoxication or withdrawal;
  • violence, abuse, coercion, stalking or immediate relationship danger;
  • a new, severe or unexplained physical symptom;
  • inability to eat, drink, sleep, take essential medication or care for basic needs;
  • rapid deterioration or a concern raised by someone who knows you.

What MMIO does when a direct message raises concern

MMIO does not invite crisis disclosures and cannot promise real-time review. If a staff member happens to receive a message that creates a reasonable concern about immediate serious harm, MMIO may provide crisis information, preserve necessary records, seek professional advice, or contact emergency services where authorised or required by law. This is not continuous monitoring and must never be relied on as an emergency response.

Design commitments

  • urgent-support information is separated from ordinary marketing;
  • private browser-local writing is not scanned to infer crisis;
  • tools include context-specific cautions and permission to stop;
  • MMIO avoids claiming that a game, activity or self-help exercise treats a crisis;
  • contact channels state that they are not crisis-monitored;
  • safety incidents and adverse feedback enter a documented review process.

Contact about a product safety issue

For a non-urgent product safety concern, contact support@mymindisok.com. Do not wait for that response where immediate help is needed.
